One of Opus Anglicanum's most popular programmes.  Mediaeval carols and chant combine with spoken texts in a very special candle-lit Christmas concert.

Music includes Machault's Gloria, and Obrecht's magisterial Factor Orbis with its interwoven biblical prophetic texts and declamatory 'Noës'.  Bringing the concert to a close is Ave Maria mater Dei by William Cornysh from the late 15th century Eton Choir Book.

A sublime evening. The music this year seemed even more ethereal and magnificently sung. It really is the start of Christmas for us.
