One of Opus Anglicanum's most popular programmes.  Mediaeval carols and chant combine with spoken texts in a very special candle-lit Christmas concert.

Music includes Machault's Gloria, and Obrecht's magisterial Factor Orbis with its interwoven biblical prophetic texts and declamatory 'Noës'.  Bringing the concert to a close is Ave Maria mater Dei by William Cornysh from the late 15th century Eton Choir Book.

“A sublime evening. The music this year seemed even more ethereal and magnificently sung. It really is the start of Christmas for us.”
